When we were children we used to visit an elderly lady who lived on a small farm among the rolling hills of County Down

Winter Farm ~ linen collage little hill farm Available in a mount orWinter Farm was inspired by a place I see on a walk near my home here in County Down. At first glance you might expect the fields look bleak at this time of year but I find there is so much inspitation in the details of the landscape and the muted colours. A collage made from my little lino cuts hand printed on Irish linen. I use different types of linen, some very old, to make my collages. I sew the pieces together by hand using a variety of stitches
