Chateau des Tours, Cotes du Rhone Rouge Vintage:2014 This seems to ooze cassis
$1940.00
Description
This seems to ooze cassis from start to finish and the persistent has to be experienced to be believed though the wine remains backward if not severe
Happily here there is no reduction present on the ultra-spicy and floral nose where soft wood frames the ripe aromas of various dark berries and plum scents
comparing it to the 2017 it does not quite have the same tension and mineralité
Unlike the Poissenot though this beauty is unlikely to drink well before at least 10 years have passed
Chateau des Tours, Cotes du Rhone Rouge Vintage:2014 This seems to ooze cassisThe 2004 Cotes du Rhone reveals a character similar to the 2005, with wonderful upfront fruit, but is slightly softer. Chateau des Tours is the family estate of Emmanuel Reynaud, the nephew of the late Jacques Reynaud as well as the winemaker at Chateau Rayas since 1997. His Cotes du Rhone and Vacqueyras are two of the best value picks in the southern Rhone. His 2005s are all successful. A blend of 50% Grenache and the rest Counoise and Cinsault
